Real history or ... fake history?
In recent times, due to a number of reasons, more and more people have become skeptical of what, until recently, were considered trustworthy sources of information - mainstream media, universities, books and to a lesser extent, certain internet sites.
We at World History and Mythology have been asked many times, words to the effect; "Is it real history or fake history?" In other words, can the information contained in the World History Timeline be trusted.
There are (at least) three assumptions that can explain this skepticism:
Assumption 1. There is some sort of unstated agenda that lies behind the presentation of the events in the timeline.
Assumption 2. We (the masses) have all been lied to for some sinister reason so that "the truth" has been withheld from us.
Assumption 3. The Timeline contains the opinions of its creator about the events presented in the Timeline.
To address these and related assumptions, we have a section devoted to the sources for the events in the Timeline.
